Connecting People for Green Skills

The European Office of Cyprus (EOC) was a partner in an EU funded project, approved by the European Commission, under the PROGRESS programme call for proposals on "Delivering Skills for Growth and Jobs". The project entitled "Connecting People for Green Skills - Green Skills" aims to detect the work and training factors that make it impossible for construction sector professionals to get jobs that require new qualifications and skills. It will primarily focus on developing technical/professional and educational skills applied to construction in the field of the environment.

Reclaiming Europe

European Parliament intensifies its effort for raising awareness regarding its role and actions, underlining its political nature. In this framework, the European Parliament approved to co-finance the “Reclaiming Europe” project, a partnership between EOC and Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) that aims in raising public awareness for the European Parliament and the encouragement of public debate concerning the European decision making process.

Le-MATH: Learning Mathematics through new communication factors

"Le-Math" project uses an entirely different approach, inviting teachers and students to implement new methods of communication in learning mathematics that could be fun and enjoyable at the same time. This is an approach that generates new ideas under "learning while playing".

EUROPE’s EYEs ARE OPEN…successor of CYRPUS’ EYEs Are Open

Through this project, young entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to learn how to manage a small or medium enterprise and to get familiar with the business environment in another EU member state by working with experienced entrepreneurs. Young entrepreneurs have the opportunity to work with an experienced entrepreneur for the period of 1-6 months. During this period, they will gain knowledge on how to set up and management an SME in sectors such as financial and operational management, development of innovative products and services, successful selling practises and trade promotion, European trade law and European Single Market.

The two-year project “CAREER-EUshop: One-Stop-Service-Career-Guidance-Shop for Europe”, which received funding from the European Commission under the Lifelong Learning Programme - Grundtvig Multilateral projects, was completed in September 2010.

Web-based Information Service for Higher Education Studets

WISHES stands for Web-based Information Service for Higher Education Students  (WISHES). As a European Project run by nine European institutions WISHES centrally promotes European work and study offers for students worldwide by means of a user-driven web-based information portal.
Based on the expressed needs of over 4.000 students, this WISHES web-portal centralizes information and creates profiles of European higher education institutions (HEIs) and employment bodies, tailored to Bologna and Lisbon parameters.
